Puppy Selection - Thursday 11th March

• Andy Corbett, Colin Hewitt and Alun Jones visited the kennels of trainer Dave Mullins, and selected The Greyhound Club’s first purchase.

The Hewitt’s Visit — Sunday 18th April

• The Hewitt family spent some time at the Kennel and there is now an updated picture on the website. Four weeks and what a change already.

The Club Night — Saturday 5th June

• The first night out of the Club will took place at Romford on Saturday 5th June. The name of the dog was chosen, and has now been registered as Bonamassa Buddy.

The Club Night II — Friday 21st October

• As Autumn was upon us, the second Club night took place at Romford, and several members were rather more lucky than they had been on the previous Club Night! Another good night was had, and the highlight was a half-brother to Bonamassa Buddy running, and winning an open race in style - Roll on next year!

Joe's Trial —Sunday 26th March

• Early on Sunday morning, not helped by the clocks springing forward, members of The Greyhound Club enjoyed the first sight of 'Joe' chasing a hare at the trials track. Showing early pace, Joe delighted everyone with a strong display, hopefully setting himself up for a successful career. Joe's First Romford Trial —Tuesday 17th May

• And so the time for Joe to have his first 'real' trial at Romford came - How will he fare around the track where he will ply his trade. A very creditable 25.41 seconds was the result, and this already qualifies him to race at Romford. A further two trials will be held, upon which he will be at the mercy of the Romford grader! Alun Jones and Colin Hewitt witnessed the event, and once again Alun's trust iPhone captured Joe in all his glory here

Joe's First Race — Saturday 11th June

• Joe was graded at A8 and began his racing career in style, showing blistering pace down the back straight, taking the spoils just in time. See the delight of the gathered Greyhound Club syndicate members here.
