About UsThe Greyhound Club was formed in 2010 by several like-minded people who were interested in owning and racing a greyhound. This came to fruition in March 2010 when a puppy was purchased from experienced trainer David Mullins to start the club. Joe ran his first competive race on June 11th, showing good middle and late pace to steal the victory on the line, making a winning debut - Long may it continue! The first club night took place at Romford on June 5th 2010, when the name of the dog was chosen, in a rather unique way! Six possible names were chosen, and each allocated to a dog in the 8.48 race—The winning trap would be the name of the puppy. So, that’s how the name of the dog was chosen! So, what is the name—Bonamassa Buddy was the chosen one, and hopefully it will be the first in a long line of Bonamassa’s! Eight syndicate members own shares in 'Joe' and as this is written (31st July 2011), Joe has progressed in his six races, winning an impressive 50%, the latest being a 2 1/2 length victory at Grade A6 in a personal best time. Syndicate 2 has also been formed, being formed of seven of the original eight Syndicate 1 members, with two 'new entrants'. Their puppy, the as-yet unnamed son of Timor Blue/Sanu We Kee, is expected to start racing in around July 2012.
